ANF operations in multiple cities recover cocaine, ice, hashish and opium worth over Rs281 million.
Islamabad: A nationwide crackdown by the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has exposed multiple attempts to smuggle illegal drugs across Pakistan, leading to the recovery of more than 145 kilograms of narcotics and the arrest of six suspects, including two women.
According to ANF officials, seven separate operations were conducted in different cities, resulting in the seizure of drugs worth over Rs281 million. The operations targeted various smuggling channels, including courier services, vehicles and transport routes.
In Multan, ANF officials intercepted a courier parcel arriving from Argentina and recovered 205 grams of cocaine hidden inside ladies’ accessories. Another operation near Tarnol Phatak in Islamabad led to the arrest of two suspects with 4.8 kilograms of hashish.
Near Hassan Abdal in Attock, authorities seized 3.6 kilograms of hashish from a vehicle and arrested two individuals. In a separate action near GT Road Peshawar, two women were taken into custody after 2.4 kilograms of hashish was recovered from their possession.
ANF teams also carried out major seizures in Karachi and Balochistan. In Malir, Karachi, 62 kilograms of ice was recovered, while a truck near City Bypass in Chagai was found carrying 70 kilograms of opium.
