Telecom giant Jazz has urged customers to remain vigilant as cybercriminals increasingly use phishing attacks, fake prize offers and fraudulent calls to steal personal and financial information.
Pakistan’s leading digital operator, Jazz�, has issued an important public advisory warning customers about a sharp rise in sophisticated online and mobile fraud schemes targeting users across the country.
According to the company, cybercriminals are increasingly using phishing attacks, fake prize notifications, fraudulent phone calls and suspicious links to trick people into revealing sensitive personal and financial information. Many of these scams appear authentic, making them difficult for users to identify.
Jazz highlighted that fraudsters are misusing the company’s name, branding and identity to circulate deceptive messages. These scams often include false claims of lottery winnings, prize distributions and urgent account-related alerts designed to pressure recipients into taking immediate action.
In its message to customers, Jazz emphasized that modern fraud techniques have become increasingly advanced and convincing. The company advised users never to share passwords, PIN codes or one-time passwords (OTPs) and to remain cautious of messages demanding urgent responses or promising unexpected rewards.
The telecom operator also urged customers to verify all promotions and service-related information through official channels, including the company’s website, verified social media accounts and customer support services.
As part of its response, Jazz has launched a nationwide digital safety campaign aimed at educating the public about evolving cyber threats. The initiative focuses on helping users recognize fraudulent tactics that often appear trustworthy and time-sensitive.
