Pakistan Makes Historic AI Move With Founding Membership in Global Organization

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

During his visit, Dar will participate in the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC), a premier global forum that brings together world leaders, policymakers, technology companies, researchers and industry experts to discuss the future of artificial intelligence and innovation.

According to the Foreign Office, Pakistan will advocate for inclusive, transparent and responsible AI development, stressing that developing countries should have an equal voice in global AI policymaking. The country also aims to promote international collaboration in AI governance, digital innovation, research, knowledge sharing and capacity-building to help bridge the technological divide.
