PTA’s upgraded CMS app introduces OTP-based multi-factor authentication, improved complaint validation and a new module for reporting suspected mobile-number fraud.
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has launched an upgraded version of its PTA Complaint Management System (CMS) mobile application for Android and iOS users, offering telecom consumers a more secure and convenient way to register and track complaints.
The upgraded application introduces OTP-based multi-factor authentication, adding an extra layer of security to user accounts. The authority has also enhanced the complaint validation process, allowing users to upload relevant documents more conveniently when submitting complaints through the app.
PTA has further introduced improved session management to strengthen account security and provide users with a smoother experience while accessing the application.
A key addition to the upgraded CMS app is a new module for reporting suspected fraudulent activities involving mobile numbers. The feature enables consumers to alert PTA about potentially fraudulent mobile-number activities and seek regulatory assistance.
The new reporting facility is aimed at making it easier for telecom users to communicate concerns related to suspected mobile-number fraud through the authority’s complaint platform.
PTA said the upgraded application is part of its efforts to modernize the telecom complaint redressal system and improve services for consumers.
The authority is focusing on making the complaint process more secure and user-friendly while providing consumers with improved tools to submit complaints, attach supporting documents and track their status.
With the upgraded application available for both iOS and Android users, telecom consumers can use the mobile platform to manage complaints and access the newly introduced fraud-reporting feature.
