Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif commends security forces for killing nine militants in operations in Balochistan’s Kachhi and Wadh districts, reaffirming the government’s commitment to eliminating terrorism.
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday praised Pakistan’s security forces for killing nine militants in operations in Balochistan’s Kachhi and Wadh districts, reaffirming the government’s resolve to continue the fight against terrorism until it is completely eradicated.
In a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office on Oct. 28, 2026, the prime minister commended security forces officers and personnel for their professional capabilities in the operations against militants whom the government described as being backed by India.
Sharif said the fight against terrorism would continue until the threat was eliminated from the country, according to the statement.
He also praised the efforts of security forces and law enforcement agencies to eradicate terrorism and establish lasting peace across Pakistan.
The prime minister said those seeking to undermine Pakistan’s security and peace would never succeed in achieving their objectives.
Sharif reiterated that the government and the nation stood alongside security forces in their efforts to combat terrorism, expressing support for their continued commitment to the campaign.
“Mujh samait poori qaum dehshatgardi ke khatme ke liye security forces ke ghair mutazalzil azm mein un ke shana bashana khari hai,” the statement quoted the prime minister as saying.
The remarks followed security operations in the two Balochistan districts in which nine militants were killed. The Prime Minister’s Office described the operations as successful and credited security personnel with carrying them out.
The statement did not provide additional operational details, including the precise circumstances of the engagements or further information about the individuals killed.
Balochistan has remained a focus of Pakistan’s counterterrorism efforts, with security forces conducting operations against militant groups in different parts of the province. However, the prime minister’s statement focused on the latest operations and the government’s stated determination to eliminate terrorism and maintain peace.
The prime minister’s message underscored the government’s position that security forces and law enforcement agencies would continue their efforts against militant threats, while calling for sustained national support for the campaign.
The statement was issued by the Prime Minister’s Office media wing in Islamabad on Wednesday, Oct. 28.
