Information Minister Attaullah Tarar visits senior journalist Muhammad Aslam Khokhar at PIMS Hospital, reviews his treatment and hands him an employment letter.
ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar visited senior journalist Muhammad Aslam Khokhar at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment, and inquired about his health and medical care.
In a post on social media platform X, Tarar said he met Khokhar at the hospital and obtained details about his health and treatment from the attending medical professionals.
During the visit, the information minister also handed Khokhar an employment letter, according to his statement.
Tarar said the government stood with members of the journalist community in addressing their problems and difficulties, reaffirming his commitment to supporting media workers during challenging circumstances.
“مشکل وقت میں کسی صحافی کو تنہا نہیں چھوڑیں گے،” Tarar said in his post, pledging that no journalist would be left alone during difficult times.
The minister also prayed for Khokhar’s speedy and complete recovery, asking Allah Almighty to grant him good health.
The visit highlights the support extended by the information minister to a senior member of the journalist community during his hospitalization. The employment letter was also handed over as part of the minister’s interaction with the journalist.
Tarar’s message emphasized the importance of standing alongside journalists facing personal and professional difficulties and maintaining support for members of the media fraternity.
The minister concluded his message with prayers for Khokhar’s early recovery.
