LAHORE: In a remarkable medical achievement doctors at Lahore General Hospital (LGH) successfully delivered triplets two boys and a girl following a complex surgical procedure highlighting the hospital’s advanced maternal healthcare services.
The patient Iqra Noman a resident of Chungi Amar Sidhu was admitted to LGH in a critical and high risk condition. The case was handled by the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (Unit III) where a highly experienced medical team ensured the safe delivery of the newborns. The surgical team was led by Prof. Dr. Amna Khanum with the support of Dr. Nosheen and Dr. Iman who carefully managed the complicated pregnancy.
The successful delivery took place just one year after the patient’s marriage. Following the procedure, the healthy newborns were handed over to their father and grandmother marking an emotional moment for the family.
Principal of Ameer ud Din Medical College Prof. Dr. Farooq Afzal congratulated the medical team on their professional excellence. He stated that LGH’s gynecology wards are equipped with modern state of the art facilities operating round the clock to handle high risk cases.
