Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said that the same “bloodthirsty network” responsible for attacks in Gaza Strip is now targeting schools and hospitals in Iran and Lebanon as well.
Speaking at an iftar dinner at Istanbul University, Erdoğan addressed rising regional tensions and stated that Türkiye stands on the side of humanity and supports dialogue and diplomacy to resolve crises.
Referring to the war in Gaza, he said the world has witnessed scenes where human life was ignored, with civilians, schoolchildren, and even babies in hospital nurseries being targeted.
Erdoğan added that doctors, nurses, and other medical staff were also attacked during the Gaza conflict, claiming that nearly 1,700 healthcare workers were killed as a result of Israeli state actions.
He emphasized that Türkiye’s stance on regional issues is based on human values and justice rather than geopolitical or economic interests such as oil, gas, or minerals.
