Pakistani actress and social media personality Aliza Sultan has sparked fresh discussion online after sharing scenes from the popular drama Aap Ki Izzat, with some social media users linking the posts to her past experiences.
Written by Umera Ahmed and directed by Saife Hassan, Aap Ki Izzat stars Urwa Hocane, Ahsan Khan and Saniya Saeed. The drama revolves around Bina and Tabish, a married couple whose relationship changes after Tabish gains wealth and begins treating his wife with disrespect.
The drama has drawn attention for addressing emotional abuse, body-shaming and the often-overlooked contributions of wives and mothers within a marriage. Recent episodes showing Bina confronting Tabish over his behaviour have also gained traction on social media.
Aliza was among those who shared clips from the drama on her Instagram Stories. Alongside one of the clips, she posted a statement about giving everything to people who ultimately fail to value it.
Although Aliza did not directly name anyone, some users interpreted the post as a possible reference to her own previous marriage.
