Police have registered a case, launched an investigation and begun efforts to arrest the suspect following an alleged rape incident in Chakwal’s Dhohman area.
A woman has alleged that she was sexually assaulted in the Dhohman area of Chakwal, prompting a police investigation and renewed calls for justice from her family and local residents.
According to the First Information Report (FIR) No. 222/26, the alleged incident occurred on July 3, 2026, at around 12:30 p.m. within the jurisdiction of Dhohman Police Station. The complainant told police that the suspect allegedly assaulted her while she was alone, threatened to kill her after the incident and fled the scene.
Police said a case has been registered and an investigation is underway. The complainant was shifted to DHQ Hospital Chakwal for a medical examination, and the medical report has been included in the investigation record.
The victim’s family has urged authorities to arrest the suspect without delay and ensure the case is pursued under the law. They said they will fully cooperate with the legal process and called for justice.
Police officials said raids are being conducted at multiple locations to apprehend the suspect. The Station House Officer (SHO) stated that the investigation would be carried out on merit and that legal action would be taken if the allegations are proven.
