Chief Justice of Pakistan Yahya Afridi has made it clear that he will strictly act in accordance with the law and will not grant any special relief outside the legal framework in matters concerning PTI founder Imran Khan.
According to party sources, Gohar Ali Khan met the chief justice and later informed senior party leaders that the CJP would proceed by the book. He reportedly advised that any petition regarding Khan’s medical condition should be filed in the appropriate legal forum.
The PTI had sought Khan’s transfer to Shifa International Hospital in Islamabad for specialized eye treatment by retina experts and requested permission for his personal doctors to examine him in jail. However the Supreme Court returned the petition, citing objections from the Registrar’s Office.
The registrar referred to an earlier order directing the petitioner to approach the Islamabad High Court where the related appeal is already pending.
The development underscores the court’s stance on procedural compliance and adherence to established legal channels in the case.
