Lahore court grants further relief as investigation into alleged online gambling app promotion continues.
LAHORE: A sessions court in Lahore on Wednesday extended the interim bail of the wife of popular Pakistani YouTuber Saad-ur-Rehman, widely known as Ducky Bhai, until June 23 in a case linked to the alleged promotion of an online gambling application.
The accused appeared before the court during the hearing, where she marked her attendance and fulfilled the required legal procedures. The court reviewed the status of the investigation and heard arguments related to the matter before granting an extension in her interim bail.
According to official details, the case was registered by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA). Authorities allege that the accused was involved in promoting a betting application through online platforms, an act that falls under ongoing scrutiny by cybercrime investigators.
After examining procedural developments in the case, the court decided to continue the interim relief, protecting the accused from arrest until the next hearing. The extension allows investigators additional time to continue their inquiry while ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
The investigation remains ongoing under NCCIA supervision, and further proceedings are expected in upcoming hearings. Officials have not yet announced any final findings regarding the allegations.
The case has attracted widespread public attention because of its connection to social media influencers and growing concerns over the promotion of gambling-related content on digital platforms. Regulators and law enforcement agencies have increasingly focused on online advertising practices, particularly content that may encourage betting or gambling activities among internet users.
