During a telephone conversation, Erdogan and Trump discussed bilateral relations as well as developments involving Iran and Gaza, according to the Turkish presidency. The call comes as regional conflicts continue to raise concerns about a wider escalation and renewed diplomatic efforts.
Erdogan stressed the importance of giving diplomacy every possible opportunity and said Turkey was ready to support efforts aimed at maintaining communication with Iran. Ankara has consistently advocated dialogue and political solutions as a means of addressing regional disputes.
