FIA Cracks Down on Visa Fraud, Two Human Smuggling Suspects Arrested in Sargodha

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

FIA says the suspects allegedly collected millions of rupees from victims by promising overseas employment visas but failed to provide visas or return the money.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested two suspects allegedly involved in separate human smuggling and immigration fraud cases during operations in Sargodha, officials said.

The arrests were made by the FIA Composite Circle Sargodha under the directives of the Director FIA Faisalabad Zone and the supervision of the Deputy Director FIA Circle Sargodha as part of an ongoing crackdown against human smuggling networks and visa fraud.

According to the FIA, the first operation resulted in the arrest of Saima Jabeen in connection with Case No. 92/2025. Investigators alleged that she collected Rs2.4 million from a complainant after promising to arrange employment visas for four individuals to Portugal. However, neither the visas were provided nor was the money returned.

In a separate operation, FIA arrested Chaudhry Muhammad Akmal in connection with Case No. 141/2026. Officials alleged that he, along with accomplices, obtained Rs1 million from a complainant on the promise of securing a Saudi Arabia work visa for the complainant’s brother. The visa was never arranged, and the amount was not refunded.
