ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has secured a major achievement in international bodybuilding, with WAPDA athlete Hamza Raja winning the overall Mr Universe 2026 championship title in Switzerland.
Raja clinched the gold medal in the Men’s Physique category at the championship organized by the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB). He also secured the overall title and earned an IFBB Pro Card.
According to a WAPDA spokesperson, Raja delivered an impressive performance at the international competition, adding another significant milestone to his bodybuilding career.
The spokesperson said Raja became the first Pakistani athlete to win both the overall title and an IFBB Pro Card at an international bodybuilding competition.
The Mr Universe 2026 Championship was held in Switzerland, with athletes from 26 countries participating in the prestigious event and competing across multiple categories.
Raja’s victory was described by WAPDA as a major honour for Pakistan and a significant achievement for the country’s sporting community. His success also reflects the growing participation of Pakistani athletes in international bodybuilding competitions.
