Faisalabad’s Hira Qaiser won Pakistan Idol after a competitive season, receiving the trophy and Rs1.5 million at a star-studded grand finale.
KARACHI: Faisalabad’s Hira Qaiser has been crowned the winner of Pakistan Idol after a spectacular grand finale featuring live music, celebrity performances and celebrations.
The singing competition concluded Sunday night with Hira emerging as the top performer after consistently impressing audiences and the judging panel throughout the season.
Hailing from a middle-class family, Hira delivered a series of strong performances during the competition and gradually established herself as one of the leading contestants. Following her victory, she credited Allah’s blessings and the prayers and support of her parents and family for her success.
Speaking after winning the title, Hira said she was overwhelmed with happiness and struggled to put the emotions of the moment into words. She said her family’s prayers had played an important role in helping her reach the top and expressed hope that the victory would help her turn her dreams into reality.
The Super Finale featured an elaborate presentation of lights, colours and live music. The event was also screened at cinemas in Karachi and Faisalabad, giving fans an opportunity to watch the final night on the big screen.
One of the major highlights of the evening was the appearance of renowned singer Atif Aslam, who joined the show as its “Super Icon.” His performance added to the excitement of the finale and drew an enthusiastic response from the audience.
Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Bilal Maqsood and Zeb Bangash also performed during the musical celebrations, entertaining viewers throughout the event.
The judging panel, comprising Fawad Khan, Zeb Bangash, Bilal Maqsood and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, shared their assessments of the finalists as the competition reached its decisive stage.
Hira received the Pakistan Idol trophy and a cash prize of Rs1.5 million. The other seven finalists were also recognised for their performances, with each receiving a shield and Rs500,000 in prize money.
Several prominent figures from Pakistan’s entertainment and music industry attended the finale screening in Karachi, including singer and songwriter Shuja Haider, actor Misbah Khalid, musician Bilal Maqsood, Nazeer Hussain, Ayesha Jahanzeb, Kehkashan Faisal, Sara Mahmood and Zeeshan Chaudhry.
Producer Badr Ikram also attended the event. He said the production team had worked extensively to discover a distinctive singing talent capable of representing Pakistan’s musical potential.
Ikram further announced that Pakistan Idol would return for a third season, promising audiences an even more entertaining experience.
