Islamabad Police say the suspects allegedly stole mobile phones and valuables from patients and their attendants at PIMS Hospital, with further investigations underway.
Islamabad Police have arrested two alleged members of a gang accused of stealing mobile phones, wallets, and other valuables from patients and their attendants at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Hospital.
According to police, the operation was carried out by Karachi Company Police Station under the directions of Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi and the supervision of SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza as part of an ongoing crackdown against criminal elements. The raid was led by the station house officer along with ASI Arif Hussain and other officers, using modern technology and intelligence-based policing.
The arrested suspects were identified as Syed Subhan Ahmed Shah and Syed Saad Faizan Shah, sons of Syed Tariq Hussain Shah and residents of Sector G-6/1-4, Islamabad.
Police said stolen mobile phones and a weapon allegedly used during the crimes were recovered from the suspects’ possession.
During preliminary interrogation, investigators said the suspects admitted to targeting patients receiving treatment at PIMS Hospital and their attendants, stealing mobile phones, wallets, and other valuables.
Police said further investigations are underway and expressed hope that additional disclosures could help solve other theft cases linked to the suspects.
