Apple is preparing for the next major iPhone launch, with the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max expected to be introduced in September 2026.
The new Pro models are expected to receive several hardware and design improvements, while Apple is also preparing what could be its first foldable iPhone. The standard iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e are expected to follow a different launch schedule, potentially arriving in spring 2027.
The iPhone 18 Pro series is expected to feature Apple’s A20 Pro processor, with reports pointing to TSMC’s 2-nanometer manufacturing technology. The move could improve processing performance and power efficiency compared with previous generations.
Apple is also expected to reduce the size of the Dynamic Island. Reports indicate that some Face ID components could move beneath the display, allowing the company to reduce the space required for front-facing sensors.
Connectivity could receive an upgrade through Apple’s C2 modem. The company has been working toward greater control over its modem technology, while the next-generation system is expected to support improvements in cellular connectivity and satellite-related capabilities.
The iPhone 18 Pro Max is also expected to receive significant camera improvements. A variable-aperture camera system has been reported for the model, potentially giving users greater control over light intake and depth of field.
Design changes could include a new rear-panel treatment and a Dark Cherry color option. The Pro Max is also expected to be slightly thicker and heavier than the previous generation, potentially because of changes to its internal hardware and camera system.
For customers in the UAE, the new Pro models are expected to become available in September. Apple launched the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max in the UAE on Sept. 19, 2025, placing the country among its early launch markets.
Based on the expected 2026 launch schedule, the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max could reach UAE stores around Sept. 18–19. Apple has yet to officially announce the launch event, final specifications, pricing or availability.
