Islamabad IT Park on Kuri Road is nearing completion as PSEB seeks a private firm to manage security, maintenance, operations and other facility services.
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad IT Park on Kuri Road has reached around 90% completion, with the government moving to appoint a private company to manage and operate the facility once construction is completed.
The Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), working under the Ministry of IT and Telecommunications, has invited proposals for facility management services at the technology park. The selected company will be responsible for key operational functions, including security, maintenance, daily operations, janitorial services and horticulture.
The Islamabad IT Park is among the major projects being developed by the Ministry of IT and PSEB to strengthen Pakistan’s technology ecosystem and provide dedicated infrastructure for technology-related businesses.
The facility covers approximately 720,000 square feet across 14.9 acres and has been developed with support from South Korean consultants.
Once operational, the IT Park will provide dedicated space and facilities for technology companies, startups, entrepreneurs, incubation centres and IT-enabled businesses. The planned facility is designed to accommodate around 100 technology companies and 8,400 technology professionals and resources.
The project is intended to provide a dedicated environment where technology businesses can establish operations, expand their activities and develop new products and services. It will also bring startups, entrepreneurs and innovation-focused activities together within a purpose-built facility.
The move to seek a private facility management company comes as construction work approaches completion. The appointed operator will be responsible for maintaining the facility and ensuring that essential day-to-day services continue to function smoothly.
The Special Technology Zones Authority (STZA) will continue its role in regulating and facilitating technology zones in Pakistan. The Islamabad IT Park is being developed as a major technology and innovation hub in the capital.
The facility is expected to add infrastructure for Pakistan’s growing information technology sector once it becomes operational. Its planned capacity could provide additional space for technology companies, startups and skilled professionals while supporting business expansion and innovation.
