Deputy Commissioner confirms no official decision to close institutions despite circulating rumors.
ISLAMABAD: Authorities in Islamabad have clarified that all educational institutions will remain open tomorrow, dismissing reports suggesting closures across the federal capital.
According to an update received from Deputy Commissioner Irfan Nawaz Memon at around 9:30 p.m., no decision has been taken by the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration to shut down schools, colleges, or universities.
The clarification comes amid widespread speculation and unverified reports circulating on social media regarding possible holiday in educational institutions. Officials have emphasized that academic activities will continue as usual unless an official notification is issued.
Authorities have urged citizens, parents, and students to rely only on verified sources and avoid spreading misinformation. Similar situations in the past have also seen the administration rejecting rumors and confirming that institutions would operate normally.
Educational institutions across Islamabad are therefore expected to follow their regular schedules, with no holiday currently announced.
