Passengers traveling on business visas failed to provide valid documents; fake diplomas recovered during inspection.
PESHAWAR: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) offloaded two passengers at Bacha Khan International Airport during immigration clearance after detecting suspicious travel documents.
According to FIA officials, the passengers, identified as Hamza Mukhtar and Muhammad Badruddin, residents of Sialkot, were traveling to Tanzania on flight FZ-376.
During initial screening, both individuals were referred for further profiling after failing to provide adequate supporting documentation. Authorities stated that although the passengers were traveling on business visas, they could not present any legitimate business-related documents.
Further investigation led to the recovery of fake diplomas identifying them as electrician technicians. Officials noted that the documents carried forged stamps and signatures of various institutions.
During questioning, the suspects reportedly admitted to obtaining the fake documents through agents. Following the inquiry, both individuals were offloaded and handed over to the FIA Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Peshawar for further legal proceedings.
Officials reiterated their commitment to preventing illegal travel and document fraud, emphasizing strict monitoring at all entry and exit points.
