Joint initiative promotes road safety through free motorcycle inspections, helmet distribution, and public awareness on traffic laws.
Islamabad Traffic Police, in collaboration with Atlas Honda, organized a special road safety and traffic awareness camp in the Blue Area to encourage safer driving practices and improve compliance with traffic laws.
The initiative, arranged by the Education Wing of Islamabad Traffic Police, focused on educating motorists about the importance of following traffic regulations, wearing helmets, maintaining lane discipline, avoiding overspeeding, and respecting one-way restrictions. The campaign also aimed to reduce road accidents by promoting responsible riding habits among motorcycle users.
As part of the event, technicians carried out free inspections of motorcycle lights and braking systems. Riders also received free installation of bulbs, mirrors, and other essential safety accessories. Informational material on road safety was distributed, while free helmets were provided to encourage greater use of protective gear.
Inspector Rana Ishtiaq, head of the Education Wing, led the awareness activities alongside his team, highlighting the importance of safe driving and compliance with traffic regulations.
The camp was organized on the directions of Chief Traffic Officer Kainat Azhar Khan to enhance public safety and provide better services to road users. Senior officials from Atlas Honda and Islamabad Traffic Police attended the event and reaffirmed their commitment to organizing similar awareness campaigns in the future to strengthen road safety and reduce traffic accidents across the capital.
