Police have launched an investigation after the body of a 55-year-old woman was recovered two days after she was allegedly killed during a domestic dispute in Sadiqabad.
A 55-year-old woman was allegedly murdered by her son-in-law following a domestic dispute in Sadiqabad, with her body recovered two days after the incident, police and rescue officials said.
The incident took place near Tibbi Bigawar in Sadiqabad, where the suspect allegedly strangled his mother-in-law, identified as Sughraan Bibi, during an argument at home.
According to rescue officials, the suspect allegedly wrapped the victim’s body in cloth before dumping it into a nearby drain in an apparent attempt to conceal the crime. The body was discovered two days later, prompting authorities to launch an investigation.
Police reached the scene after the body was recovered and began collecting evidence. Officials said further legal proceedings are underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident and identify those responsible.
