Telecom partnership delivers steady income and improved mobile connectivity for legal community
PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Bar Association has secured a significant development in both infrastructure and financial stability after receiving four cheques totaling Rs1,815,000 as annual rent from Mobilink Jazz for the installation of a mobile tower on its premises.
The tower, installed on the rooftop of the bar’s building, is expected to provide a sustainable stream of income while addressing longstanding mobile signal issues within the परिसर. Lawyers had frequently reported connectivity disruptions that hindered communication and professional coordination.
“This initiative marks a practical solution to a persistent problem,” said Zahidullah Zahid, general secretary of the association. He noted that improved network coverage would enable lawyers to perform their duties more efficiently, particularly in an increasingly digital legal environment.
Beyond connectivity improvements, the agreement represents a step toward financial independence for the association. The steady rental income is expected to support facility upgrades and institutional development.
Officials described the move as part of a broader strategy to modernize the bar’s infrastructure and align it with contemporary needs. The association signaled its intent to continue pursuing similar initiatives aimed at enhancing member welfare and strengthening organizational capacity.
