JUI chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman urges peaceful negotiations to ease Kashmir tensions, saying Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is working with the government to facilitate dialogue and prevent further unrest.
Pakistan: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has called for dialogue and restraint to ease ongoing tensions in Kashmir, urging the banned Awami Action Committee to avoid any actions that could escalate the situation or lead to violence.
In a message addressed to the committee, Fazlur Rehman appealed for patience, saying disputes should be resolved through negotiations rather than confrontation. He stressed that peaceful engagement remains the only sustainable path to a lasting solution.
The JUI chief said Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is actively working to help resolve the issue. According to Fazlur Rehman, Bilawal is in contact with the government and is trying to create conditions for meaningful discussions among all stakeholders. He urged the committee to allow time for those efforts to continue.
Fazlur Rehman said Bilawal is committed to preventing bloodshed and unrest, adding that political leaders must work together to avoid further instability. He emphasized that protecting lives and maintaining public peace should remain the top priority.
Reiterating his call for dialogue, the JUI chief said political wisdom should prevail over confrontation and urged all parties to act responsibly to prevent tensions from deepening.
