Karachi Weather Update: Thunderstorms and Hail Expected This Weekend

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Karachi braces for thunderstorms and possible hail as western weather system approaches.

Karachi: Karachi woke up to a cooler, pleasant morning on Thursday following light rainfall in the city’s northern and western districts.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) reported that a western weather system is currently influencing the region, creating isolated chances of rain throughout the day. Thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds are expected, with rainfall varying from moderate to occasionally heavy in some neighborhoods.

Officials cautioned that if thunderclouds intensify, wind speeds could surpass 40 kilometers per hour in certain parts of Karachi. Despite today’s showers, the city is not expected to see rain on Friday.

Looking ahead, the PMD has issued a weekend weather advisory, forecasting another round of thunderstorms, strong winds, and rainfall on both Saturday and Sunday. Certain areas may even experience hailstorms, adding to potential disruption in daily routines.

Residents have been urged to monitor weather updates closely and take precautions, particularly during periods of intense winds and heavy rainfall. Authorities emphasized securing outdoor items, avoiding low-lying areas prone to waterlogging, and staying alert to PMD notifications.
