Islamabad/Rawalpindi: Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Pakistan on a two day official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
President Tokayev landed at Nur Khan Air Base in Rawalpindi where he was warmly received by President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif senior officials and diplomats underscoring the significance Pakistan attaches to the visit.
The Kazakh leader is accompanied by a high level delegation, including senior ministers and representatives from key sectors highlighting Kazakhstan’s interest in expanding cooperation with Pakistan across political economic and cultural fields.
During his stay President Tokayev is scheduled to hold detailed meetings with President Zardari and Prime Minister Sharif. Discussions are expected to focus on enhancing political ties trade investment, and regional connectivity.Energy infrastructure development transport education science technology defence and cultural exchanges are expected to be key areas of engagement.
Several memorandums of understanding and bilateral agreements are anticipated to be signed providing a framework for long term partnership.Both sides aim to boost economic cooperation deepen people-to-people contacts and explore new opportunities that will strengthen the strategic relationship between Pakistan and Kazakhstan.
