LONDON: Pakistan’s cricket team presented Britain’s King Charles III with a specially signed cricket bat during a meeting at Clarence House, adding a memorable sporting moment to the national side’s ongoing tour of the United Kingdom.
The Pakistan squad met King Charles at the historic London residence of the British royal family, where the monarch spoke with players, team officials and members of the coaching and support staff.
Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi also attended the meeting alongside the national squad and officials.
As a gesture of goodwill, the Pakistan team presented King Charles with a cricket bat carrying the signatures of the national players. Pakistan’s Test captain Babar Azam personally handed the bat to the King during the gathering.
The presentation provided a light-hearted moment during the royal engagement, with cricket serving as a shared sporting connection between Pakistan and Britain.
King Charles showed interest in the gift and asked PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi whether the bat had been made from Pakistani wood.

The meeting took place as Pakistan continues its cricket tour of England and prepares for the third Test of the series. The final Test is scheduled to be played at Edgbaston in Birmingham on Sept. 9.
