Major Move in Azad Kashmir: Senior JAAC Leaders Added to Fourth Schedule

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Azad Jammu and Kashmir Government have intensified restrictions on members of the banned Jammu and Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee, placing senior leaders and active supporters under enhanced security monitoring.

MUZAFFARABAD: The government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) has issued a notification placing senior leaders and approximately 150 active members of the banned Jammu and Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) on the Fourth Schedule, marking a significant escalation in its response to recent protest-related activities.

According to the notification issued by the AJK Home Department, the individuals added to the Fourth Schedule will be subject to strict monitoring under applicable laws. The move comes after the government declared JAAC a banned organization amid growing tensions surrounding its protest campaigns and political activities.

Officials said that those listed on the Fourth Schedule will face restrictions related to movement, participation in public gatherings, financial transactions, and other activities deemed relevant to security concerns. The individuals will also be required to regularly report to their respective police stations, while security agencies will maintain continuous surveillance.

The Fourth Schedule is a legal mechanism commonly used to monitor individuals considered a potential security concern. Authorities use the framework to track activities, prevent unlawful gatherings, and ensure compliance with public order regulations.
