“One Call and Islamabad Will Be Flooded”: Fazl ur Rehman Issues Strong Warning to Rulers

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

JUI-F chief Maulana Fazl ur Rehman criticized the government’s performance, warned of a nationwide mobilization toward Islamabad, and called for sensible politics while addressing a conference in Charsadda.

Pakistan’s political temperature rose on Friday after Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazl ur Rehman delivered a fiery speech in Charsadda, warning the government against what he described as poor governance and political mismanagement.

Addressing the “Shaheed-e-Islam Conference,” Fazlur Rehman said the country’s rulers were incapable of effectively running the government and claimed that every Pakistani was searching for peace and stability. He urged political leaders to adopt a more reasonable approach and avoid actions that could further deepen national tensions.

In one of the strongest parts of his speech, the JUI-F leader warned that if his party issued a call, people from across Pakistan would march toward Islamabad. He cautioned the government not to force opposition forces into taking stronger measures, emphasizing that political issues should be resolved through dialogue and wisdom.

Fazlur Rehman also paid tribute to the late Maulana Sheikh Idris, describing his death as a loss not only for a single family but for the wider Muslim community. He said the scholar’s legacy and influence would continue to inspire future generations.

Highlighting the historical role of religious scholars in the subcontinent, Fazlur Rehman argued that peace prevailed when religious leadership played a central role in society. He criticized ethnic and nationalist divisions, saying such narratives had fueled hatred and instability, while his party continued to reject politics based on division.
