OGRA has announced a modest reduction in petroleum prices, lowering petrol by 84 paisa and high-speed diesel by Rs2.63 per litre.
ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced a reduction in the prices of petroleum products, bringing down the rates of both petrol and high-speed diesel.
The price of petrol has been reduced by 84 paisa per litre, after which the new price has been set at Rs389.28 per litre.
The price of high-speed diesel has also been cut by Rs2.63 per litre. Following the reduction, the new price of high-speed diesel has been fixed at Rs412.12 per litre.
The latest adjustment represents a modest reduction in petroleum prices, with the lower rates expected to apply under the newly announced pricing decision.
Petroleum prices are closely watched by consumers and businesses because changes in fuel costs can affect transportation expenses and the prices of goods and services.
The announcement comes amid continued attention to fuel prices in Pakistan, where petrol and diesel rates are regularly reviewed based on the prevailing pricing mechanism.
