PCB and Saudi Cricket have signed a landmark agreement to develop an international cricket stadium in Jeddah while expanding cricket infrastructure, talent development, and investment opportunities under Saudi Vision 2030.
Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have taken a significant step toward expanding cricket in the Gulf after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Saudi Cricket signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation and develop world-class cricket infrastructure.
The agreement includes plans to build an international cricket stadium in Jeddah, a project expected to support Saudi Arabia’s long-term ambition of hosting major international cricket tournaments and other global sporting events.
The MoU was signed by PCB Chairman and Pakistan’s Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, and Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation Chairman, Prince Saud bin Mishal bin Mohammad Al Saud.
Beyond infrastructure, both organizations will work together to strengthen Saudi Arabia’s cricket ecosystem by developing players, coaches, and match officials through technical programs, competitive events, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Officials said the partnership will also encourage investment, promote sports tourism, and accelerate the growth of cricket across the Kingdom. The initiative aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to diversify the economy by expanding the sports sector, increasing community participation, and improving quality of life.
