Army chief offers Eid prayers with troops, commends their dedication and reiterates resolve for regional peace
Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff Syed Asim Munir spent Eid-ul-Fitr with frontline troops during a visit to Kurram, highlighting solidarity with soldiers and reaffirming the military’s commitment to national security.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army chief offered Eid prayers alongside officers and troops. Special prayers were made for Pakistan’s peace, stability, and prosperity. He also extended Eid greetings to personnel deployed in the region.
The ISPR said the army chief praised the soldiers’ unwavering dedication, high morale, and professional excellence. He specifically commended the armed forces’ performance in ongoing security operations, acknowledging their role in maintaining stability.
Security Commitment and Regional Stability
During the visit, Gen. Munir reiterated Pakistan’s firm resolve to ensure peace and stability in the region. He emphasized that militants operating from Afghan territory would not be allowed to threaten Pakistan’s security, stressing that Afghan soil must not be used for hostile activities.
The army chief expressed pride in the courage and resilience of the troops, encouraging them to continue their efforts in safeguarding the nation.
