Pakistan and Bangladesh reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations, expanding cooperation in trade, education, social welfare, and people-to-people exchanges during high-level talks in Islamabad.
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Bangladesh have reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing bilateral ties after Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met Bangladesh’s Minister for Women, Children and Social Welfare, Dr. A.Z.M. Zahid Hossain, in Islamabad.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, Ishaq Dar welcomed the Bangladeshi minister’s participation in the OIC Ministerial Conference on Women and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to promoting women’s empowerment through the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
During the meeting, Dar recalled his visit to Dhaka in August last year and emphasized Pakistan’s desire to further strengthen relations with Bangladesh. He said Pakistan remains committed to expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest and building a stronger partnership with Dhaka.
The two leaders also discussed opportunities to enhance collaboration in trade, education, social welfare, and people-to-people exchanges. They agreed that closer engagement in these sectors would contribute to stronger bilateral relations and greater regional cooperation.
