Pakistan Confronts Afghan Taliban After Captured Attacker Exposes Karachi Terror Link

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Pakistan has formally protested to Afghanistan after investigators linked Afghan nationals to the deadly Karachi Rangers camp attack, escalating diplomatic tensions between the neighboring countries.

Pakistan has lodged a strong diplomatic protest with Afghanistan’s interim Taliban administration after investigators linked Afghan nationals to the deadly terrorist attack on a Rangers camp in Karachi. The move came after authorities confirmed that one of the attackers was captured alive during the operation.

According to Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Afghan chargé d’affaires was summoned to Islamabad to receive an official demarche. At the same time, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Afghanistan, Ubaid-ur-Rehman Nizamani, delivered an identical protest to Afghan officials in Kabul.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Tahir Andrabi said the decision followed findings from the ongoing investigation, which indicated that Afghan nationals participated in the attack. He stated that the evidence reinforced Pakistan’s longstanding concern that Afghan territory and individuals continue to be exploited by terrorist groups targeting Pakistan.

The diplomatic action follows Sunday’s assault on a Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) camp in Karachi’s Gulistan-i-Jauhar area. According to the military’s media wing, the attackers detonated a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device at the camp’s entrance before attempting to storm the facility under heavy gunfire.

Security forces engaged the militants in an intense exchange of fire lasting around 15 minutes. Three Rangers personnel were martyred and four others were injured. Three attackers were killed, while a fourth was captured alive and identified as an Afghan national.
