Pakistan’s Top Leadership Pays Tribute to Armed Forces on Defence and Martyrs Day

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Official statements confirm that both leaders honoured the martyrs and veterans and highlighted the significance of the day in Pakistan’s national history.

Zardari said the unity and spirit of faith demonstrated by the Armed Forces and the Pakistani nation on Sept. 6, 1965, remained a manifestation of the country’s collective strength. He paid tribute to those who sacrificed their lives in defence of Pakistan and acknowledged the services of military veterans.

The president also reiterated Pakistan’s position on the Kashmir dispute, saying the issue should be resolved in accordance with relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Sept. 6 represented a significant chapter in Pakistan’s history and provided an opportunity to honour the sacrifices of martyrs and veterans and their families. He also stressed the need to strengthen national security and defence while pursuing economic development, political stability and public welfare.
