ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has summoned a session of the National Assembly, directing lawmakers to convene at Parliament House in Islamabad on Wednesday, June 10, 2026.
According to an official announcement, the session will begin at 5 p.m. and will mark the 28th sitting of Pakistan’s 16th National Assembly. The president exercised his constitutional authority to call the meeting under Article 54(1) of the Constitution of Pakistan.
The upcoming session is expected to bring together members of the lower house of parliament to deliberate on legislative and national matters. While the agenda has not yet been publicly detailed, National Assembly sessions typically provide a platform for debate on government policies, pending legislation, and issues of public importance.
The summoning of the assembly comes as parliamentary business continues during the current tenure of the 16th National Assembly, with lawmakers expected to participate in discussions and proceedings scheduled during the session.
