Pakistan Unveils ‘Mango Diplomacy’ as Premium Fruit Heads to 76 Countries in Global Goodwill Drive

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Pakistan will send more than 34 tonnes of premium mangoes to heads of state, diplomats and senior officials in 76 countries, aiming to strengthen diplomatic ties while promoting its globally renowned fruit exports.

Pakistan has launched a new phase of its “mango diplomacy” by sending premium-quality mangoes as gifts to heads of state, senior government officials, diplomats and other distinguished figures across 76 countries. The initiative, led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, is designed to strengthen international goodwill while showcasing one of Pakistan’s most celebrated agricultural products.

According to the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), more than 34 tonnes of premium mangoes will be delivered in 6,896 specially packed five-kilogram boxes. The fruit is being packed and transported according to international quality standards to preserve its freshness and flavor throughout the journey.

The largest consignments will be sent to Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, the United Kingdom and China, reflecting Pakistan’s close diplomatic and trade relationships with these key partners. Several other friendly nations are also part of the annual goodwill campaign.

Pakistan ranks among the world’s leading mango-producing countries, with its varieties earning global recognition for their rich aroma, exceptional taste and superior quality. Officials believe the initiative will further enhance the international reputation of Pakistani mangoes and create new opportunities for agricultural and horticultural exports.

TDAP said the campaign extends beyond a symbolic diplomatic gesture, serving as a strategic effort to promote Pakistan’s premium produce in overseas markets. Officials described mango diplomacy as an important element of the country’s soft diplomacy, helping strengthen mutual trust, deepen bilateral relationships and expand Pakistan’s export footprint worldwide.
