Pakistan Will Not Play India in T20 World Cup, PM Tells Federal Cabinet

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday informed the federal cabinet that Pakistan will not play any match against India in the upcoming T20 World Cup, describing the decision as carefully considered and in line with Pakistan’s principled stance that sports should remain free from political influence.

Addressing the cabinet meeting, the prime minister said Pakistan stands in solidarity with Bangladesh and emphasized that sporting competitions should not be used as tools for political pressure. “Pakistan will not face India in the T20 World Cup. This decision has been taken after thorough deliberation,” he stated.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Sharif also briefed cabinet members on the security situation in Balochistan. He said militants had carried out attacks in the province, to which Pakistan’s armed forces responded decisively. According to the prime minister, security forces eliminated 180 militants during the operation, adding that such elements posed serious threats to national development and stability.

The prime minister further addressed regional developments, noting that Pakistan had played a “brotherly role” in supporting Iran during recent tensions. He also spoke about cooperation with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, reaffirming federal support regardless of political differences.

The cabinet meeting began with prayers for those martyred in Balochistan attacks and for the speedy recovery of the injured.
