Petrol, Diesel Prices Increased as Government Issues New Notification

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Government raises petrol and high-speed diesel prices, with the new rates set at Rs349 and Rs374.31 per liter respectively.

ISLAMABAD: The government has increased the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel, with the revised rates notified officially.

According to the notification, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs2.84 per liter, taking the new price to Rs349 per liter.

The price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has also been raised by Rs2.28 per liter, bringing its new price to Rs374.31 per liter.

The government said the revised petroleum prices will remain applicable for one day. Following the increase, petrol and diesel have become more expensive across the country.

The rise in fuel prices could affect transportation costs, the movement of essential commodities and other sectors that rely on petroleum products. Any impact on fares and the prices of goods will depend on how the increase is reflected in transportation and distribution costs.
