Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says Pakistan will continue decisive action against terrorism after security forces thwarted a major attack in Balochistan’s Khuzdar district.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has praised Pakistan’s security forces for carrying out a successful intelligence-based operation against militants in Balochistan’s Khuzdar district, calling it a significant achievement in the country’s ongoing counterterrorism efforts.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the operation targeted militants described as members of “Fitna al-Hindustan.” During the operation, security forces killed four militants and destroyed two explosives-laden vehicles before they could be used, preventing what officials described as a major terrorist plot.
The prime minister commended the professionalism, courage, and timely response of the security forces, saying their swift action averted a potentially devastating attack.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment to national security, Shehbaz Sharif said every attempt to spread terrorism in Pakistan would be defeated. He added that security forces and law enforcement agencies would continue operations with full determination until terrorism is completely eliminated from the country.
The prime minister also said the entire nation stands firmly with Pakistan’s brave security personnel and deeply values their sacrifices for the country’s peace, stability, and security.
