Police launch a wide search operation as investigators probe the deadly escalation of a property dispute in Bannu’s Domel area.
A land dispute in Pakistan’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province escalated into a fatal shooting that left four members of the same family dead, triggering shock and fear in the region.
According to police officials, the incident occurred in the Odin Kalla area under Domel Police Station limits in Bannu, where long-standing tensions between paternal cousins over property ownership suddenly turned violent. Authorities said the confrontation quickly escalated into gunfire, leaving no time for de-escalation.
Officials confirmed that all four victims belonged to the same immediate family, including a father and his three sons, who were killed on the spot. The attackers fled the scene immediately after the shooting, prompting a large-scale security response.
Police have launched search operations across nearby areas to trace and arrest the suspects. Investigators are also collecting evidence and recording statements to determine the exact cause of the dispute and whether prior threats or mediation attempts were made.
