Punjab Parliamentary Secretary for Housing Sultan Tariq Bajwa visited Water and Sanitation Agency Rawalpindi to review ongoing operations and future development plans. He was received by Managing Director Aziz Ullah Khan, who provided a detailed briefing on water supply drainage systems, and key operational challenges in the city.
During the meeting, officials discussed upcoming development projects under the Punjab Development Program, focusing on their technical and financial viability. Emphasis was placed on ensuring sustainable and effective implementation of these initiatives to improve public services.
The session also highlighted the need to strengthen the agency’s financial independence by increasing revenue generation. Participants stressed improving the complaint redressal system to ensure faster and more efficient responses to public concerns.
Sultan Tariq Bajwa appreciated WASA’s efforts in providing essential services to citizens and emphasized the importance of enhancing institutional capacity and infrastructure to further improve service delivery.
Aziz Ullah Khan reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to ensuring uninterrupted clean water supply, efficient drainage, and improved infrastructure management, while prioritizing revenue growth and timely resolution of public complaints.
