SARGODHA: Commissioner Hafiz Shaukat Ali has announced that sewerage projects worth approximately Rs55 billion are progressing rapidly across Sargodha Division aimed at resolving long standing drainage issues.
During a visit to the Sargodha Chamber of Commerce and Industry the Commissioner shared that a special development project valued at Rs14 billion is underway in Sargodha city with a target to clear major areas by May.
He emphasized that public relief during the holy month of Ramadan remains a top government priority. Ration cards are being delivered to deserving families at their doorsteps, and facilitation bazaars have been fully operationalized. With support from philanthropists 42 Nigehban Dastarkhwan (free meal centers) are being established across the division’s four districts.
Commissioner Ali warned that violations of officially notified prices will not be tolerated. Shops found non-compliant may face sealing fines or FIRs. Price magistrates have been activated to enforce the prescribed rates strictly.
Representatives of the Chamber of Commerce reaffirmed their commitment to cooperate with the administration. On the occasion the Commissioner also planted a sapling in the green belt highlighting a focus on both development and environmental sustainability.
