In Islamabad, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to discuss bilateral relations and the evolving regional situation. The meeting, attended by Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and National Security Adviser Lt. Gen. Muhammad Asim Malik took place in a cordial and friendly atmosphere.
According to an official statement, both leaders exchanged views on regional peace, stability, and ongoing geopolitical developments. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif conveyed his best wishes to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, appreciating Saudi Arabia’s measured and responsible approach during the current crisis. He also referred to his recent conversation with the Crown Prince.
The prime minister briefed the Saudi foreign minister on Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts, particularly initiatives aimed at encouraging dialogue between the United States and Iran. He emphasized Saudi Arabia’s leadership role in the Muslim world and highlighted the importance of unity among Islamic countries.
Prince Faisal expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s support and shared Saudi Arabia’s perspective on the regional situation. Both sides agreed to maintain close coordination and continue joint efforts for peace and stability. Separately the prime minister also met the foreign ministers of Türkiye and Egypt welcoming them warmly.
