Shaheen Shah Afridi Leads Lahore Qalandars Into PSL 2026 Pre-Season Camp

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

ISLAMABAD: The Lahore Qalandars have kicked off an intensive pre-season camp in Islamabad, with captain Shaheen Shah Afridi spearheading preparations for the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL).

“This camp gives new players a chance to understand the team and get to know each other,” Afridi said. “The last four to five years in the PSL have been very good for us. It’s not only about winning trophies; the biggest success has been bringing Player Development Programme (PDP) players forward. Players selected from trials across the country have gone on to play at national and regional levels.”

The Qalandars’ PDP has been pivotal in unearthing new talent. “Many new players have joined the team, including foreign stars,” Afridi noted. “Trials have been held again this season, and some exciting talent has come to the fore. Hopefully, one or two standout players will shine in the PSL.”

With matches set on new venues this season, Afridi expects fan enthusiasm to soar. “Over the next ten years, many good players will emerge. We are focused on creating opportunities and building a strong foundation for the future,” he added.

As training intensifies, Lahore Qalandars aim to merge experience with emerging talent, promising a season of high energy and exciting performances. Fans can expect fresh stars ready to light up the PSL stage while the team continues its mission to nurture the next generation of cricketing talent.
