Nowshera: In a move aimed at improving public healthcare services, Additional Assistant Commissioner-II Fatima Khaliq paid a surprise visit to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Nowshera and reviewed the medical facilities being provided to patients.
During the inspection, the official examined staff attendance, the availability of medicines, sanitation standards and the overall quality of services being offered at the hospital. The visit focused on assessing whether patients were receiving timely and adequate healthcare facilities.
Officials said that several administrative and service-related issues were identified during the inspection. The concerns were noted and communicated to the relevant authorities for corrective action. Hospital management was also directed to ensure improved cleanliness standards and strict compliance with staff attendance requirements.
As part of the visit, Fatima Khaliq met patients undergoing treatment in different wards and inquired about the healthcare services being provided. She listened to their feedback and reviewed the conditions under which patients were receiving medical care.
The surprise inspection reflects the local administration’s ongoing efforts to strengthen accountability in public healthcare institutions and ensure better medical services for residents of Nowshera.
