Pakistan Day marked the launch of a large-scale tree plantation campaign in Nowshera aimed at combating pollution and promoting a greener future.
NOWSHERA: A tree plantation campaign was formally launched at the ADC Office in Nowshera under the vision of Imran Khan and the provincial “Ehsaas Shajarکاری Campaign” led by Chief Minister Sohail Afridi.
The initiative was inaugurated by Member of Provincial Assembly and PTI district president Mian Muhammad Umar Kakakhel, who planted a sapling to mark the beginning of the campaign. The drive aims to make the province greener and reduce environmental pollution.
Launched on Pakistan Day, the campaign targets the plantation of one million trees across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Officials said the public is actively participating in the effort, reflecting growing awareness about climate change and environmental protection.
Organizers emphasized that planting trees is a shared responsibility, urging citizens to contribute toward building a sustainable and eco-friendly province. The campaign carries the message: “Plant trees, save the environment,” reinforcing the commitment to a greener Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
