What Happened in North Waziristan? Security Forces Eliminate 21 Terrorists in Major Crackdown

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

A major counterterrorism operation in North Waziristan has resulted in the killing of 21 terrorists, marking another significant development in Pakistan’s ongoing campaign against militancy.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), intelligence-based operations were conducted in Miranshah and surrounding areas targeting militants associated with Fitna al-Khawarij. The operation led to the elimination of several high-profile terrorists, including militants identified as Khalid, Maftoon, Musa, and Imran.

The military’s media wing stated that security forces have carried out multiple actions over the last 72 hours across the region. During this period, a total of 48 terrorists were killed in separate operations, reflecting intensified efforts to dismantle militant networks and restore stability.

Officials said search and clearance operations remain underway to ensure the complete removal of terrorist infrastructure and prevent militants from regrouping. The latest actions are part of a broader national strategy aimed at strengthening security and maintaining peace in affected areas.

Following the operation, Asif Ali Zardari praised the security forces, describing the elimination of terrorist leaders as a major success. He reaffirmed the nation’s support for the armed forces.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also commended the troops, noting that several high-value targets, including four wanted militant commanders, had been neutralized. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi lauded the professionalism and courage of the personnel involved.
