Three FIRs Filed Against MPA Saqib Chadhar in Lahore as Multi-Crore Cheque Scandal Emerges

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

A fresh legal controversy has emerged in Lahore after three separate cases were registered against Punjab Assembly member Saqib Chadhar over alleged cheque dishonour involving hundreds of millions of rupees.

According to police records, the cases were lodged at Defence A Police Station on the complaint of a woman identified as Mah Rukh Arif. The complainant alleged that three cheques issued as part of a property transaction were dishonoured due to insufficient funds in the relevant bank account.

The FIR states that Mah Rukh Arif, who described herself as a cancer patient, approached Saqib Khan for the sale of her property. She alleged that the property, valued at approximately Rs600 million, was sold to two individuals identified as Saqib Khan and Akbar Khan on Davis Road.

According to the complaint, the accused provided three cheques worth Rs90 million each as part of the agreement. However, all three cheques were reportedly returned unpaid by the bank because the account lacked sufficient funds.

The complainant further alleged that when payment was demanded, the accused refused to return the money. The total value of the dishonoured cheques is reported to be Rs270 million.

Police have formally registered the three cases and initiated further investigation and legal proceedings. Authorities have not yet publicly announced any arrests or charges beyond the registration of the FIRs.
